Chapter XII - Charles C Lewis. (Pages 280-282)
- E8. Charles C Lewis Jr, son of Charles C Lewis Sr, was born in 1802.
- In 1825 he married Jane Flack, daughter of George Flack of Rutherford County, North Carolina.
- George Flack raised but three Children, viz: John, Jane and Andrew.
- Charles C Lewis Jr was about five feet six inches in height, weighing about one hundred and thirty five pounds, with lighy hair and blue eyes. He died in Montgomery County, Texas in 1846 while on a visit to that country.
- His widow and children are in Yell County in Arkansas. He had three children,
viz:
- F1. George Washington, born in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1826.
- F2. Elizabeth Louisa, born in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1830.
- F3. Emily Warner, born in Rutherford County, North Carolina in 1934.
- Jane Flack his wife died in Yell County, Arkansas in 1885.
- F1. George W, son of Charles C Jr was born in 1826.
- In 1847 he married Margaret
Ann De Berry, in Yell County, Arkansas, by whom he had six children, viz:
- G1. Cordelia Melissa, born in 1848 married Franklin Waters.
- G2. Jonathan Winfield, born in 1850, married Amanda Waters.
- G3. Gerard Chesterfield, born in 1853, married Mary Pruitt.
- G4. Sterling Menafield, born in 1855, and died 1864.
- G5. Genela Belona, born in 1857, married William Putnam.
- G6. Andrew
Terell, born in 1859, married Susan
Amanda Herring. They have children viz:
- H1. Minter Terell
- H2. William
- H3. Susan
- H4. Nelly Dorcas
- H5. Lenty May
- The wife of George W Lewis (Margaret Ann De Berry) died in 1862 and
he married as his second wife, Gillie
McCutchen buy whom he had two children, viz:
- G7. John Crier
- G8. Minter Flack, who died.
- George W was in the Confederate Army and was killed through mistake by Mr ---- Foster, within five miles of his own home

- F2. Elizabeth
Louise, daughter of Charles L Lewis Jr, was born in 1830 and married in
Yell County, Arkansas in 1846 John
J Derrick by whom she had 5 children, viz:
- G1. William Henry, born in 1847.
- G2. Adam Jackson, born in 1850 and died in 1862.
- G3, George Morris, born in 1852; married Martha E Gatlin in 1872.
- G4. Francis Marion, born in 1853.
- G5. Mary Jane, born in 1855.
- Mr Derrick died in 1854, after which Elizabeth L, his widow, married Albritton H Jean in 1870 and resides near Riley, Yell County, Arkansas.
- F3. Emily Warner,daughter of Charles C Lewis Jr was born in 1834.
- In 1852 she married William
L Foster, and died near Palarm, Pulaski County, Arkansas, leaving issue,
viz:
- G1. Nancy Jane born in 1853, died in childhood.
- G2. Mary Elizabeth born in 1856 married Presley Caldwell.
- G3. Lewis Columbus, died in childhood.
- William L Foster died in the Confederate Army between Corinth and Columbus.
- Miss Emily W, his widow, then married Jackson Kennesly and resides near Little Rock, Arkansa and has issue, viz
- Mrs Emily W Kennesly died near Palarm, Pulaski County, Arkansas in 1880.
