  BIOGRAPHY: The Book "Genealogy of the Imbrie family of western Pennsylvania : descendants of James Imbrie, pioneer settler and his wife Euphemia Smart" shows the following information:- (Page 30 - An Index of all Children.):- "Euphemia, born Circa 1778, died Oct 16th 1869" (Page 57 - Euphemia's Chapter - Section B.) "Euphemia Imbrie was born abt 1778 and died Oct 16th, 1869: Married (1) James Bever, born 1778, died March 19, 1811. He was probably the son of Sampson Cicero Bever, a ranger on the frontier during the Revolution who died in 1792 in Union Township, Allegheny County, PA, leaving a widow, Jane. Euphemia Imbrie married (2) Samuel Flack, brother of Robert Flack (see under Mary Imbrie). NO ISSUE. Buried in Cedar Rapids Iowa." Source: Ancestry.com Jim Flack - 3 Nov 2008 BIRTH: From reading the book "Genealogy of the Imbrie family of western Pennsylvania" it would seem that shortly after the 1st child David was born in the USA, the family returned to Scotland to obtain the estate of David Smart which had been left to daughter Euphemia (now wife of James). The book says "it is possible - that son James, son Robert and one daughter where born in Scotland while they were there.
