- BIOGRAPHY: Notes for Marriage(s) and possible husband(s) - I'm just thinking out loud !!
1930 census shows age 1st married = 20 - so 1st married about 1868
1900 census shows present marriage 28 years - so about 1872
1910 census shows present marriage 37 years - so about 1873 (same as 1900 census really)

1870 census shows Sarah living at home with her father as houskeeper, but the census unfortunately doesnt record marital status. There are also 2 'odd' children with the family in that census year (Edward and Louisa McGoon (?)) and lots of other websites have 'attached' the 2 children as Sarah's (but they do not quote the reason why).
If they were Sarah's then why don't they appear with her in the following 1880 census ?? - could the children actually have been Sarah's older sister Nancys children ? (I can't find Nancy after 1860 census unfortunately.)

For the time being I am only linking Sarah to what I currently know is correct - and thats to John Mitchell.
BIOGRAPHY: Who are Sarah's Parents ???
A silly question it seems initially - but again I have seen so many websites that link a 'Sarah and husband John Mitchell' to John Nelson Flack as father (Benjamin's BROTHERS son).
However, in the 1925 Iowa State Census it clearly names Sarah's parents as Benjamin Flack and Elizabeth Thompson. Most strange.
