  DEATH: If I have the current children correctly placed - then Mary's death was certainly between Nov 1875 and 1880 (birth date of last known child and the 1880 census where husband has remarried Susan Allison). The headstone death date DOES look like '6th Oct' but the year is impossible to read. One ancestry tree does show a definative year of 1877 - but I'm going to TRY and get the headstone 're-read' just to be sure - especially as it cements in place which of the children belong to which of Johns wives.
