Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2011, at Friendship United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in church cemetery. Mrs. Gordon was a native of Guilford County. She was retired from the Guilford County School System. Also, a member of the North Carolina Association of Office Personnel. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Ottis Lee Gordon, sister, Cletus Powell and brothers, John, Howard, Grady and Larry Cook. She is survived by two sons, Ottis Lee Gordon, Jr. (Norma) of Brown Summit and Edward Lynn Gordon (Cindi) of Oak Ridge; three grandchildren, Amy Ferrero (Craig) of Wilton, CT., Michael Ashburn Gordon (Hollie) of Burke, VA. and Jennifer Fish (Gary) of Columbus, IN.; five great grandchildren, Cal, Carley, Graham, Sophie and Grant. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11:00AM before the service in the church fellowship hall.
