  BIOGRAPHY: VALIDATION I am just taking a second as I build this tree 'upwards' to try and validate all the information I have so far as building a tree on a poor foundation isnt really a good idea. SO FAR (In conjunction with Nancy Stokes and Jean Forbes) I am happy with all the info on Hugh Flack and family, and that Hugh's father was called John. There seem 2 possible John's to link UP to - ('John son of George' or 'John son of William') - and the current best estimate is that Hugh links up to 'John son of WIlliam' on the basis that there are 2 headstones in Cremore Cemetery that are next to each other. William (d.1830) and John (b.1805-d.1839). So with the information we have so far, the tree is set up in that format. LATE NOTE - just found William and George's brother Hugh and HE has a son John too. So now we have 'John son of Hugh' to contend with as well. Jim Flack - 3 Feb 2009. BIOGRAPHY: Dear Jim First opening of your site shows my ( and nelson's ) great grandfather Hugh. Brackagh is the town land , and the county is Armagh and not Down as the site says. Hugh was born 1838 died 1915. His wife was Agnes Nelson who came from the townland of Knockgorm which is in Co Down. She was born 1844 and died 1925. I am descended from their eldest son William John Flack, my grandmother Agnes Nelson Flack being his second daughter. There is an enormous cousinage descended from this Hugh. The subject of the article is basically about Land Ownership in Ireland - and it reports on a number of meetings (and proposals) during 1903 between 'Major Close' and his Tenants about them buying the land they occupied as Tenants. The Close estate included lands in Drumbanagher and Acton.
